Lee Valley Summer Circuit Series

Full Gas Cycling returns to the Road Circuit at Lee Valley VeloPark for our second Summer Circuit series on Wednesday 5th April 2017.  The series will run on Wednesday evenings until the end of August (excluding 17th May and 7th June).  It is open to all Senior and Junior categories, plus Youth A riders with dispensation.

 

Our format has changed slightly from last year and will be as follows:-

 

•             Race 1 – 3rd/4th Category Men (approximately 50 minutes)

•             Race 2 – E123 Category men & E1234 Women (approximately 55 minutes)

 

In both of the mens’ races, ranking points will only be given to the Top Ten overall and NOT split by category.  The womens’ race will be on a shared circuit with the E123 men but treated as a separate race.

EOL spaces cannot be reserved.  These are allocated on a first come, first served basis only.

 

Our Saturday afternoon WINTER SERIES at Lee Valley will begin in November.

Structure & Timetable

  • Race 1 - 7pm (3rd/4th Cat Men for approx 50 minutes)
  • Race 2 - 8pm (E123 Men & E1234 Women for approximately 55 minutes)

 

Sign-on OPENS ONE HOUR before and CLOSES 20 MINUTES before the advertised start time.  Please plan your journey accordingly as late sign-on isn't available.  

 

There will be a pre-race briefing on the start line 5 minutes before your race.  Attendance is compulsory.

 

Race 1 is treated as a single race, with positions being given to the Top Ten ONLY.

 

Race 2 is two separate races on a shared circuit but with separate results.  Positions will be given to the Top Ten overall E123 Men and Top Ten overall Women. 

Registration & Entries

Membership is optional and there is a one-off cost of £10 for this.  

 

Only registered members will be able to pre-enter races on-line and these will be at a discounted price.

 

Entries will be confirmed/accepted during the weekend preceeding each race and will close on Sunday nights.  Once your entry has been accepted by us, it cannot be tranferred or refunded.

 

Entry on the day is available to members AND non-members if spaces are available.  This will be on a first come, first served basis and there is no waiting list.  We will NOT be able to respond to any individual queries regarding availability of spaces.

 

Advance Entry (members only) = £15

On the Day Entry (open) = £20

 

Your membership and race entry fees include race levies (which go direct British Cycling). They also contribute towards the cost of venue hire, electronic timing, officials & First Aid provision. 

Electronic Timing & Results

Riders will be issued with a MyLaps digital transponder at sign-on.  This must be returned at the end of each race along with your numbers.  A replacement fee of £20 will be charged for units which have not been returned to us.  We do not provide safety pins for numbers so please bring these with you!

 

PROVISIONAL results will be made available at the end of each race.  Riders have 24 hours to notify the organisers of any discrepancies.

 

Ranking Points are allocated by British Cycling.  Please allow a MINIMUM of 48 hours after each event for points to be added on your dashboard.  Any queries related to points should be raised with British Cycling and not the race organisers.

If travelling to the venue by car, please ensure that you have read and understood the Parking Tarrifs.  Traffic in the area is likely to be busy on Saturdays.  Plan your journey carefully.
