Full Gas Cycling was founded in 2014 by TONY GIBB, former UK No. 1 ranked rider, multiple National Champion, World Championship Silver and Commonwealth Games Bronze medalist, Multiple World Cup medallist and more recently World Masters champion.
Tony regularly appears on Eurosport as a key member of it’s International Commentary team.
Events & Logistics Director PIPPA LEITH manages the day-to-day operations for Full Gas Cycling. She also provides support to a number of high-profile events in the UK, including the Tour of Britain, Womens' Tour, Six Day London, UCI World Masters Track Cycling Championships, Elite World Track Championships and Track World Cup. Outside of her racing committments she runs a Sports Rehabilitation and Massage Therapy business based in London's Covent Garden.
By promoting brand new events and resurrecting iconic ones, we aim to create more accessible and affordable opportunities for cyclists to experience the joy of racing - whether they are newcomers to the sport wanting to start from the beginning, or experienced competitors wanting to grow and develop their skills and work their way towards Elite racing status and beyond.
Our Winter Track League is now into it's 5th year and includes A, B and C endurance groups plus monthly Sprint and Madison Events. All of our races are open to Women and Men aged 16 and above.
We organise over 100 races per year which, at 8 pins per rider, per race, equates to a lot of safety pins! We don't provide these free of charge but instead ask our participants to make a cash donation. All of the money raised in this way is given to London's Air Ambulance, a registered charity which relies almost entirely on public donations. They provide an invaluable and life-saving service and many cyclists - both on and off the road - have received care from them.
On Sunday 7th July 2019 we are hosting a charity fund-raising event at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit on behalf of the charity. There will be free activities available for all the family, plus races for Youth A/B, 4th Category and E123 Category licence-holders.
